Sponsorship
The Queensland Youth Choir is a community-based, non-profit organisation that relies on support from its members and the broader community to maintain and develop its established tradition of promoting, encouraging and developing to a standard of excellence, the art of choral singing for children and young adults.
We achieve this by:
- delivering superior training and developmental programs across a wide range of music genres;
- presenting our own annual concert series as well as seeking performance opportunities within the business, cultural and entertainment sectors;
- collaborating with other youth/community cultural organisations and professional musicians in the pursuit of high quality, innovative performance and recording opportunities; and
- engaging in opportunities for performance in areas beyond Queensland.
QYC, through its four ensembles, provides a caring and supportive environment in which young singers engage in the development of singing and performance technique, self-confidence, teamwork, personal friendships and a sense of community involvement.
Our ensembles perform in concert halls, churches, community centres, at business functions and major public events. As well as mounting our own annual concert series and providing paid performances to the business community, QYC also contributes to the fundraising activities of selected charity organisations such as the Queensland Cancer Fund, the Royal Children's Hospital Foundation, the Save the Bilby Fund and the Queensland Police Commissioner's Christmas Carols. QYC is the official ambassador for the Save the Bilby Fund.
QYC has a target of touring its major ensembles to interstate or overseas destinations every two years. These tours enrich the performance experience of our choristers, contribute to their cultural awareness and understanding, and provide an opportunity for our organisation to promote our unique cultural heritage. QYC not only travels interstate and abroad, but also hosts visiting choirs from around the world.
Young singers, especially young men, are encouraged to develop their potential and gain skills that will empower them to pursue careers in music, or simply contribute to the cultural enrichment of their community.
Support for the Queensland Youth Choir therefore represents a sound investment in our young people, their education and personal development, our arts community and our unique culture.
QYC is grateful for the generous assistance of parents and friends who are able to offer their time and skills to ensure that the Queensland Youth Choir provides the very best opportunities for its members.
However, looking to the future and our desire to maintain and develop our established tradition of promoting, encouraging and developing to a standard of excellence the art of choral singing for children and young adults, the Queensland Youth Choir seeks corporate sponsorship.
In return for funding support, the Queensland Youth Choir is able to offer generous sponsorship opportunities, which could include:
- naming rights
- display of company logo
- venue and event signage
- tickets to our yearly concert series
- provision of entertainment at corporate events
- acknowledgement on the QYC web site with links to the sponsor’s web site
- program acknowledgement and advertising
- signage opportunities at events
- display of company products and information at events
- the opportunity to circulate corporate information to members
- inclusion in press releases and event promotion and advertising
- written acknowledgement from QYC and presentation of an appreciation plaque.
Sponsorship will supplement existing membership and performance revenues and will enable the further growth of the organisation, providing enhanced training and performance opportunities for our young people, and enabling us to make an even more significant contribution to the cultural scene in Queensland.
Projects that would benefit from assistance include:
- regional and international tours
- performance uniforms
- the annual concert series
- workshops and camps
- facilities and equipment upgrades
- active marketing and recruitment programs
- new choral music
- professional development for staff
- outreach programs, and
- the engagement of professional teaching and tutorial staff.
The Queensland Youth choir − more than great singing.
