The QYC experience
  
Queensland Youth Choir offers:
- Four performance ensembles – Poco Voci, StellaVoce, Vivace Voices and VoiceWorks – catering for singers from the Prep. to age 25
- A music education program – Bambino Music – for young children up to 5 years of age
- An SATB community choir - Vox Populus - for singers 26 and above
- Seamless transition from one ensemble to the next, based on school year level / age and ability
- An audition process conducted in a friendly and supportive way, which is intended to recognise developed talent as well as the potential to learn and grow musically
- Weekly rehearsals of 1.5 to 2.5 hours and 30 minutes for Bambino Music
- An annual three-day training camp (except for Poco Voci and Bambino Music)
- Three public concerts each year in which all choir members participate
- The opportunity to perform at a variety of sporting, cultural, community entertainment, charity and corporate events
- Carefully selected, quality repertoire that incorporates a wide variety of musical styles including popular, contemporary, rock, jazz, gospel, classical, art music, world music, Broadway and Australiana
- Training in singing, choreography, music literacy and stage presentation
- Professionally qualified, experienced musical directors, choreographers, tutors and accompanists
- Recording and touring opportunities (both Australian and international) for all members from StellaVoce onwards
- A very affordable, value-for-money fee structure
- The benefits of being part of a non-profit, community-based organisation within which all profits are directed towards developing, enhancing and resourcing the organisation
- Recognition of and support for, the excellent music programs being offered in a great many schools, and a desire to enhance those training and performance opportunities already available to young Brisbane singers
